Valve has rolled out a change to SteamOS that should help devices using a WiFi antenna get better download speeds. This latest version, 3.8.14, was released over the weekend. The change-log only lists two changes, and one of them is pretty consequential. The new version fixes an issue that caused WiFi speeds to be limited on routers that incorrectly advertise their MCS requirements. Read more

Some people get very excited for our annual non-E3 blast of games news in June. Others await the Q3-Q4 release window rush of games with glee (although, this year, I find it a bit more scary than I do exciting). My favourite time of the gaming calendar, though, is split between two six-month blocks: I celebrate the arrival of Summer Games Done Quick and Awesome Games Done Quick like the passing of Halley's Comet. Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is suffering similar PSN region locking woes to Helldivers 2, with 132 countries barred according to Steam's backend
PlayStation might have opted to stop putting their single player big hitters on PC going forwards, but they're still committed to porting their online games in the name of juicing player counts. All good, since they've stopped frustrating folks by insisting that PC players link up a PSN account. Ah, bollocks. Based on the fact Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls' Steam backend lists it as not being available for purchase in 132 countries, Sony didn't learned their account linking lesson with Helldivers 2 after all.
