French law makes the process of shuttering or chucking away studios a lot harder for companies like Microsoft than it is elsewhere in the world, hence Arkane's fate still being up in the air while production work on Marvel's Blade nears completion according to the report.

In one of the happier endings to occur in games this week, impossibly enormous resource management sim Factorio has just released its last-ever major update – version 2.1 – on its stable branch. As previously heads-upped by developers Wube Software, 2.1 doesn’t make any big new additions to its planets or tech trees, but does sneak in more than 30 quality of life improvements and minor new features for both the base game and its Space Age expansion. Including, they say, "the things we wanted to do for 2.0 but didn't have time for." Nice to get a few final pieces out the door before it closes, eh.

Resident Evil makers Capcom reveal data breach has affected over 11 million Capcom ID accounts, warn against potential phishing emails
Resident Evil, Street Fighter, and Monster Hunter publishers Capcom have revealed that a data breach has seen a third-party gain access to information associated with more than 11 million Capcom ID accounts. "Suspicious activity" around the service, required to play online in the likes of Street Fighter 6, was initially noticed on October 19th according to Capcom, who have spent the past couple of days taking measures to contain and combat the problem.
